I wouldn't want to come back either if I had a job like yours mate. Enjoy, and we'll 'see' you in no time. ;)

I've got a couple of things to do....
- Get the J1 gearbox sprayed, then get the Quaife put in and have the box fitted
- Spray a new cam cover
- Get a couple of dings taken out of the doors
- New headunit and speakers

It's fun at the moment, but I haven't been able to give it beans in 2nd as changing into 3rd it crunches. The 4.4FD should liven things up too. :D

J1 has slightly shorter ratios and a 4.4 FD. Like the Y1 has slightly short ratios than a Y2.
Y1 has a 4.266 FD
Y2 has a 4.133 FD

I wish I was back in some ways, I miss my cars, driving them and messing about with them. My job is good but at the moment I am so busy I have very little time to myself, anyway, less than 3 weeks left before I can have a big break in Malta when we go into drydock, plus I've now got about £3000 cash in tips all of which will go towards the cars. :top:

It's going to start raining next week in Malta :( Which dock are to going Palumbo? u dont know we might meet hehe

Rain, on no, haven't seen any rain in about 4 months and don't miss it. Hope it doesn't rain much. Yeah, we'll be in Palumbo for drydock for about 5 days then we will probably head to Manoel Island, could be for a few weeks if we go to Thailand or the Caribbean or for the whole winter if we don't, owner hasn't decided yet.

Marc - 4.4 FD should be good, not quite as fun as a 4.7 but way way better for a road car.

Ok, so I've spent a bit of money.

Bought a new headunit; Alpine CDE-120RR. Bit disappointed in the quality of the buttons, they don't feel very solid, but it does the job, and looks the part.

Paid, but waiting for...

- x10 Hamp short oil filters
- Raxle driveshafts
- Cam cover, and paint for it
- JDMshit lip
- New door speakers (Kenwood E1362's)
- Hel braided brake lines
- Paint for the J1 gearbox

I might splash out on an Innovative traction bar, but this I'm not fussed about just yet, I want to get a rolling road tune done first. Also open to opinions on swapping to OBD1...? Would I just need injectors or injector plugs, dizzy and ECU, plus the harness adapter?

Going OBD1 would be worth it to give you more tuning options. You'd need ECU, harness adaptor, dizzy and 4 wire O2 sensor. You shouldn't have to anything with your current injectors.

I had the plugs swapped on my injectors.

Ok, I think I will look into getting the parts. Thanks

Nice buys 8)

For OBD1, I would recommend getting a decent harness even though you can find harnesses half the price of the decent ones. The decent ones and a lot more plug and play and the quality is much better on the soldering and shrinking.

For ECU, either a P28 or P30 socketed.

I recommend you either get a Boomslang or a Rywire harness. H-Tune does the Rywire ones IIRC.

You will also lose the 2 single wire sensors on the manifold as you will have just the one at the bottom by the collector.

You wont need to touch the injectors.

If I'm changing the dizzy, do I need to re-pin it, or get the other connector and attach it to my loom?

And can someone confirm which code dizzy I need, TD44U?

Yep TD44U is what im going to be using.

To do it neatly, you need one of these:
