What insurance companies are you with?

Post by Simon_ee9 »

Accidentally bought limited mileage insurance the other day thinking it was 'estimated mileage' (which is what it said on go compare) and now have to send a mileage declaration form off so I'm going to cancel the policy and take out another one...problem is, the quotes I'm getting are outrageous. Quinn insurance who I was with for 2 years paying £800 a year have quoted me £4100!!

Cheapest I can find is around the thousand pound mark but I was wondering who you are all with, and how much it costs you to declare all your mods. I thought my insurance was expensive when I was 18 but its even more now I'm 24 with 3 years NCB!? :?

I usually insure with HIC, which is a sister company (and therefore always cheaper) to Adrian Flux.

I have 5yrs NCB, all mods declared with European breakdown, im 27 and was paying £400 a year

So was I a year and a half ago! Got told by Quinn that the reason a years insurance can go up over 500% is because their prices 'fluctuate'! Not sure if prices this way are a bit more or what..I knew a lad up in the valleys that had a 200SX when he was 18, and was paying bugger all!
