I guessed your tyre size change as you will. Thats the difference between the two boxes.

Seems like a very marginal increase. Are you building the box yourself?

Have you tried the gearbox change to your GL? I have a spare gearbox from 16i code L3
I would do the box mod myself, with a little guidence from the forum. Tyres will be 15" 6.5 all round.

I certainly have and still am trying to complete it.

Personally i have had alot of problems due to lack of research and i am now on my fourth gearbox. But have learnt alot!

I am trying to put build a box with a 4.25 final drive and the gears from a L3 16v box. As the GL's have a nice short final drive and the 16v have nice short gears.

If you have the time have a read through my build thread as its full of the gearbox trials and tribulations.

Sorry I haven't spoken in a while, lots going on with work!

The car looks great! Glad to see everything is being taken care of (didn't have the time or money )
Do miss the car though, the ek4 is great but there was something about that GL
I guess it handles great on the suspension know

One rear arm cleaned and painted with black Hammerite, including new parts brake cylinder, wheel bearing, brake drum, brake shoes, trailing arm bush
