How To - Remove Rear Bumper

Post by Gizmo »

Quite strait forward.

2 Located in the boot, simple to find, there 2 like "molds" in the rear plastics, they are located inside.

There are 2 bolts underneath, located directly above the recess for the OEM exhaust, and another located on the exact oposite side of the bumper.

Last but not least, 2 screws in the archs, located on the black trim of the bumper, above the mudflap (Sorry, this picture doesnt quite show them)

After all these removed, the bumper, with a bit of persuation, should fall free!

Enjoy!

was fishing around for this for ages :) , took my rear bumper off last night.....not quite like this though as every single nut and screw was a ball of rust.....the bumper did survive though

so you took the bumper off the support bar instead of the support bar off the car?

Exactly that. undid the 2 bolts inside the boot that gave me enough space/leverage to get the 3 screws off the top of the bumper.....the bolts underneath were completely shot to bits just balls of rust, not sure how im going to get them off?
Going to have a look at the other car at lunch time, hopefully its nothing like this one! :top:
