Ok, Friday i go scaring to Mot office, i really hope that i get plates to my car...
Everything should be ok, but there is so many things what i have to discuss with
Mot engineer... :(

The drop is huge, lowest part is 8 cm from ground (that is the lowest point if you wanna go thrue mot)

Civic mot fails :( Not badly but still.

Engine and emissions was great, brakes was great and chassic was praised.

biggest broblem was driving lights wrong height from ground, Finnish regulation
is simple 51 cm from ground, my car lights are now 46 cm, i must raise the chassic 5 cm :(
and i must get clarification on my rear swaybar, not big bromblems enyway.
Now i have time to build my air intake system, last night i covered my molds with classfibre...
Now you can imagine allmost how its going to be...
Image
left is air cleaner box
middle is 2nd air hose
right is that tube what moves inside plenium and it is that part what i control with wire from gas pedal

parts needs more fiber, soon i can show hole assebly.

Oh sorry. It is the intake manifold or plenum, the 1st piece after dualcarbs
here is plenum with carbs end plate

and here is better photo of ram-air start and air cleaner assembly

I hate long work days... It's like my buddy say few years ago, if you are undeployment you got lots
of time to build cars, but no money to buy parts, then when you get job, you got money, but no time...

My plenium is finished and so is my "piggy legs ram-air", i even fabricate bellmouth trumpets inside
of my plenium, after a lot of reading about them i deside to fabricate elliptical bellmouths
4,5 cm inside 5,5 cm high and 6,2 cm radius at top, sorry that i dont have picture yet on those
i leave them to dry at my garage, and they maybe need some sanding... i hope that glassfibre
holds that pressure or broke becouse of gasoline spoils...

Here is a picture of my variable intake (you can see rails what moves little pipe inside of big pipe...)
Image

I try assebly everything in car tomorrow, more pics coming up

where can i find adjustable cam gear? to d13a and next question would be could i install same gear to 1,5 vtec engine?
And what gearbox is shortest gears? 1.3?

After long perioid of reading finnish road laws, i give up making mini-me. If i change different head to old bottom,
it would be same as i change the hole engine, so i change 1,5 vtec to my beast, there is many vtec heads,
but what would be the best? I add electronic pump to tank, and run that vtec with d14a1 carbs, mostly becouse
sound of them and i am too lazy to start make megasquirt to it... Then why 1,5? not b20 or b16, well 1,5 vtec
use less gasoline, it could be runned with carbs and weights less... Only broblem is that i never had that engine
on my hondas ever and i know so less on it :(

Ok long winter time change to spring, and my project starts to go on again...

After long winter i study more how to fabricate glass fibre parts and i finished my
Twinported ram-air system (or like someone mentioned animal intake... xD)

Finished Intake
Image

Opened intake (now you see why i call this twinported...)
Image

And my buddy fabricate these to my civic rear swaybar
Image

After 1 week my summer holiday starts, so my small project is soon on the road...

I order these to get front camber right...

Image

Does no one else used these to fix negative camber effect? Are they good or just crap?
Mainly i concerned about that there is only 2 positions...
All info are welcome :)

Thanks

I admire your ingenuity for fabbing up a new intake system. I dont understand how it will help in anyway? Have you had airflow measured through it? Have the internal surfaces been smoothed as imagine turbulent air will be a big issue otherwise..

Love what you have done but it really is ugly if its a finished product.. proof of concept on the otherhand i am impressed ;)

No greater fun then backing off the throttle at 7400rpm and spraying fire out the exhaust ;)

Thanks, no it's not totally finished yet, i got heat insulation tape what give last touch to it...

My basic idea was how to create best flow true air cleaner, and how to get best perform at ramming the air.
Now i "win" the normal air cleaner friction, and more speed = more air = dual pipes = better flow.
Then after long searching at web i found company who uses 2 different pipes (1 bigger 1 inside of it),
they get more flow at end of those pipes. So i just make few models and test and test and test my theory,
after i get same flow at start of ram-air and end i fabricate glassfibre part, it needs some
sanding and that heat insulation tape and then i can install it to my car.

I allready install my selfmade plenium (it change internal volume and flow depending how much you push throttle)
i must change battery location, cos my ram-air install comes directly at same place,
pics are coming up soon (i hope)
