Re: Back in a 4G!!

Post by vibe85 »

Time for a little bit of an update.

Took the old GL for it's MOT last monday and it failed.

Needed a little bit of welding and had a cracked coil spring.

Took it away and put my lowering springs on when I had time.

Went back in today to have the welding and retest and we have 12 months fresh MOT. All for under £150. Bargain. Got them to do the tracking too as it was pulling nicely to the right.

Have yet to pick it up as I'm at work but I'm very happy. 8)

So gotta get tyres on my rims, my Momo wheel put on and my wrinkle cam cover and it will be much tidier.

Pics will follow. :)

Yes Sir.

Managed to straighten out my frount bumper a bit too but it still looks S*!t.

Hopefully have one sorted out with Rhys (FEEL's). Just need to figure out the best way of me getting it as I don't want it or the filler bar damaged in the post.

So as the weather wasn't too bad yesterday I got my wheels on. So the old GL now has some Jamex lowering springs on and some Honda Enkei wheels. 8)

Waxed up and ready to go.

I also managed to straighten out the crappy front bumper corner a bit.

Also got myself a little treat as I had had more than enough of the OEM GL one.

I wanted to get my wrinkle red rocker and 4GUK stickers on too, but ran out of time after I spent ages getting the horn button working on the Momo wheel.

Hope to have it all on and the car nice and clean for next sunday. :top:

Can't believe i haven't posted in this since April.

Anyway. Tax runs out this month so will be coming off the road.

I will start stripping the interior out this weekend and the mechanical parts when i have some more free time.

I am on the lookout for a cheap mb6 or aerodeck for the bits i need for the B18.

Really looking forward to getting stuck into this. If only money and time were in plentiful supply.

Can i use the mb6 gear linkages or do i need different ones?

I certainly was Marc.

Was parked opposite in the ATR stand. Everyone pretty much pulled out though so there was just my GL and one red ATR.

I love the wheels. I little worried that 282's arent going to fit though.
