Re: EF9 - PAS rack fitted page 88...

Post by Tahir »

Update, got the car back rolling again but only took a few photo's of progress.

Re bushed the front LCA with Energy blacks. It was a BITCH taking the old bushes and sleeves out!

Gave them a wire brush and a a lick of hammerite, they came out great.

Skunk2 Pro Series camber arms fitted to the hubs.

Fitted the lot to my car. Oh, I painted the bells on the discs too and fitted the KW v2's aswell.

I also fitted the rest of the traction bar, but before that I fitted some rose joint boot's to the rose joints and filled them with grease. Should protect them and they should hopefully last a long time.

I will get some more pics when the weather clears up as I need to tidy my garage up and pull the EF out to do that.

Not much left now really.

I have TRE's to fit, brakes to bleed, fit the PAS pipes to the rack and a few other bits and bobs. Then the car is ready for the engine to go back in.

Hopefully more updates soon.

Not at all, it was freezing outside, but I was well padded and the electric heater helped in my tiny little garage.

Bushs are easy to remove. Drill with a Hole-Saw, Drill the rubber out. Hacksaw blade and cut through part of the shell. Hammer and chisel - done!

Not if you dont have a decent chisel and no vice.

I burnt the old ones out.

The traction bar is very good quality, the tie rods are proper massive!

It is an Innovative one yep, go back in this thread a bit there are a few more pics of it.

The boots on the rose joints are a nice trick to make them last. Exposed to the elements, I dont see them lasting very long.

Cheers Louis. :top:
