I dont use MSN, but it is showing me as online, even though I have changed my password and secutrity on hotmail.

Because AOL is the only friggin browser with loads eBay, Youtube and lots of other sites correctly.

Example - I can only view pictures Marc posts in AOL, the pictures never load in Firefox, Chrome, IE or any other browser. Same with eBay, youtube and Google Maps

Yet AOL Loads everything, first time everytime.

I'd get your PC checked mate; that sounds totally wrong!

Its Bizarre. Recently Formatted the HDD 2 weeks ago due to an error i had. I kind of hoped that this would fix this issue. NOPE! but NO other computer in the house this issue. I can have my Laptop next to my PC, Load the same eBay page on Both at the same time. Laptop will load it in seconds, whilst the PC will just sit and think about it, and eventually time out. Saying that. my PC is the ONLY PC in the house to be connected by a LAN Cable, Everything else is wireless.

Deffo not an ISP Issue though

Whats the CPU and Ram of the machine? Be interesting to test the connection speed from that pc too.

Hmm, looking at that spec; my bet is that your running 64bit windows and your RAM, CPU, graphics card and m'board can't really hack it. I'd recommend a roll back to XP or at win7 32 bit and you should see a significant speed increase

Or at the very least optimize windows and you should see a performance gain, atm I reckon most of your CPU and RAM will be concentrating on just running windows

The RAM is the bottle neck, everything else should have no problems with 64 bit Windows.

Would be nice to see a better card, but the RAM will be your issue, get another 2 GB in there at least and you will notice a huge difference.

Anything game or intensive I'd go with a pc.

Ive fixed the RAM Issue, Swore i had 4GB's of ram, So ive re-seated them and now have 4GB Ram.

I still love XP, Windows 7 doesnt really do it for me, the features i could do without etc.

Windows 7 is far superior to XP. it takes up less memory, works faster and has less bugs.

Check your braodband speed too when it gets slow, use the Uswitch version.

yeh it seems to drop in the evening, but it only effects some sites. i can still access gmail, 4g, crxuk, but ebay/facebook/picasa never load.

think i'll give BT a call as we upgraded to infinity last month
