Bit of both.
They brought it back from an auction on eBay for mega money (near 10K i think they were saying) then cleaned it up for keeps...
They have done the same with this NSX except they have owned this from new if I'm correct:
They displayed it with the new shape civic on a stand:

Re: Honda's (Slough) Institutes Civic
Thats why I work for a Honda dealer
My DP owns a NSX (9K on clock!!) and I had to take it for a drive to listen for rattles - such a weird feeling when the PAS turns off (around 30mph) especially when you are on a round about :S nice cars, bastard to work on
Plus, officially, you have to be a Honda Approved NSX Tech in order to do any major work (cambelt and up) (this is mainly for warranty)
The civic is a nice motor though, soooo clean

Rowes (Plymouth)
On the apprenticeship programme (2nd year) It can be tough to work for them sometimes (management) but its all good when it comes to pay day i guess... aha
It's a bit small but this is the one:
Cheers buddy, it took 7 months to get it (was working there mid week - unpaid, college mon & fri (ict) and tesco sat sun but it paid off)

Re: Honda's (Slough) Institutes Civic
The yellow civic was Honda's UK press and test car back in 75'
a lucky find for them and a rare survivor.
they reunited the press bod from back then with the car at new shape civic launch apparently
I worked for Honda during 88 to 95 and can say they are an epic company to spanner for
