Check ebay, buy a press.
I've done my time with cutting, but a press makes life much easier.
You can always sell it on again, but it's another handy tool to have !

As said its easy just time consuming, you'd be crazy to let a garage do it. Get a friend who has a little knowledge to give you a hand? S*!t if i was near i'd help out.

Dunno the link on it. Was about 80 quid and reasonably local to pick up as delivery was a bit of a joke.
Uses a bottle jack for the press rather than hydraulic lines and a hand pump.
But generally built out of big bits of metal

I know of quite a few people making presses out of angle iron and a bottle jack, seems a pretty popular thing to do if you're an off-roader. Works well for them though!nominous wrote:Dunno the link on it. Was about 80 quid and reasonably local to pick up as delivery was a bit of a joke.
