Matte paint..

Has any body matte painted there car? .. Thinking about doing this to the civic, as am fed up of having a shitty looking car. :(

Matte is so boring.
I'd only do it as a cheap skate option if the car was a multitude of colours and it was a rattle can job. No way would I pay proper body shop prices for matte.

Spend the money you would have done on matte and get a Machine polisher. Learn how to polish properly and have a nice shiny car.

A once over with a MOP does wonders.

thers a vt in yorkshire or bradford in matte black if the guy still owns it he had it on pistonheads a few months back originally red i rekon the matte dont suit it but evry1 has their own opinions :top:

Where do you live JonnyG ? I'm getting a machine polisher of the missus for my birthday and I need test victims :twisted:

any colour can be done in matte or satin its just an additive they put in the paint when they mix it

My time attack car was matt black. It's not bad looking when done right :top:

We rubbed the car down, it was originally black, and sprayed it with matt laquer. Turned out well!! I'll post a picture from the computer in work shortly.
