No, you wont be able to tow mate. You need entitlement B&E (cars with trailers) on your licence. You will only have this if you passed your test before 1997 or you have taken the relevent test for you to tow.

You can tow a trailer for sure, but there is a weight limit.
. Not sure what it is.

It all depends on what you are towing. If its towing a trailer with a vehicle on then you most likely need entitlement B&E. You can tow a relatively small trailer with just a B entitlement.

Its a bullshit law to be honest and pretty complicated as mentioned.

You stated you cant tow, which is in correct.
On a B license you can tow a fair bit.
Depends on vehicle weight, but 750kgs is a fair weight?
You can tow A fair bit.
It says;
The MAM (maximum authorised mass) of the car and trailer combined must be UNDER 3.5tonne.

But the MAM of the trailer may not be more than the unladen weight of the vehicle.
So, in a 900kg civic it's not going to be allowed to toe
Much.
You could only have a 900kg trailer, giving an all up weight of 1800kg. Well within B license limitsz.

However, if you owned a larger car, you could tow more.
Say you own an 1.5ton car, you can then toe 1.5tonne. So could tow a civic on a small trailer with ease :)

. . Think I've got that right anyway

Depends if car can tow it (does toe kit allow it?)

Depends on combined weight of trailer and crx?

Depends on weight of the car?

Crx without an engine prob around what 600-700 kg

Trailer for comparison my trailer weighs 400-450 kg but it all made from steel

I was certain that you couldnt tow unless you did the license for it though, well not anything as big as a car trailer anyway.

Most important of all though is to not exceed the towing weight of your car. Our Concerto is about 1 tonne. You DO NOT want to get caught exceeding that.

Astra estate can prob tow around 1-1.5 tonne MAX

To be fully legal towing? No.

To be fully legal towing a car on a trailer? Most probably.
