Post by DrCunz »

Anything I should know before fitting them? Set of konis with lowering springs is what I have
just make sure springs are seated right, unbolt and bolt on?

yeah spray all the bolts up with gt 85 or wd40 or plusgas and then windy them off with an airgun.

have spares at hand for all of the suspension bolts as some may snap and you will be in a bad place if you have none
D16a9 Powered dream machine!

No greater fun then backing off the throttle at 7400rpm and spraying fire out the exhaust ;)

LCA bolts.... They will snap.

Well, one of them at least, one of mine came out fine, just wire brush the threads showing and lube the feck out of them.
You might get lucky.

I wrote a how to on changing suspension.

Out of the 8 4G's i've had, I only had one bolt seize to the rear LCA. Make sure you use copper grease on the bolts when you put them back in.

Same here, last shock, last bolt, but with mine the retaining nut on the LCA snapped off so the bolt was just rotating in the hole with nothing to push against!
