So I want to strip out my 4G but I want to keep my stereo what would I do with the speakers if I removed the door cards ?

You can still have them in, there's just more chance of putting your foot through it without the cover.

I think your speakers might sound a bit crap with no door cards on as they wont have the inside door acting as a box behind them? but maybee just try it.
I've had mine stripped out for a few years, but now its really starting to do my head in. so im going to just put the front cards back in as the window rubbers along the top hold the glass. it tends to bounce about when you shut the door and i really want a stereo agian now, even tho i took all the wiring out, lol more work! think im going to butcher the door cards (they gone a bit manky in the shed) and fit 4 speakers in them with a decent head unit. it wont weigh that much, and its a comfort comprimise im willing to make thease days.
Although I know alot of ppl who arent into cars etc, I will miss the faces they pull when you offer them a lift and they open the door!

Why take out the door cards? they weigh almost nothing. They also cover up all the edges on the doors. IMO cars look awful when the door cards are removed. Sure you could replace them with ally sheet, but still the weight saving is tiny.
I don't really understand why people do this - if it's for weight saving, there's loads of other places to go first..
