you'd just keep the cam in the vtec head but yeah I think that'd work, So long as the pistons are 75mm. and apologies for spamming

thanks still not fair though. I decided to keep my d14 as it was cheap and easy to learn on though after a bit of research the ide of a 140 bhp 1.4 rocked. Non vtec non fi old school and easy to work on, no ecu's just carbs

saves alot of work I bought a spare head for peanuts that I ported and polished so I coul keep mine on the road at the same time. Giz has gone mini me but I've decided against that, ideally I want a K24/K20 engine   :top:

No as the deck height of the d13 block will be to short to accomodate the d14 rods. If your looking for power start off withthe largest displacement possible.

It would work if you used the D13 rods i think, but D13 pistons are more domed than D14/15 similar to the D16 pistons so i wouldnt bother changing them really

i would go with twincarbs and a decent exhaust system first, uprate your suspension and brakes , tyres to improve the handling . if your a bit more confidant after that maybe try a D15 cam or a vtec head from a ESi or jdm VTi (both are SOHC VTEC d series)
