Welcome and good luck :D

Rust is the enemy, sills and inner arches can hide some nasty stuff.

Accident damage, inside boot etc etc.

Paperwork the usual stuff.

Mechanically they are very good cars, just check everthing work and it feel nice, no clicks, knock or bangs and take it for a decent testdrive.

Any questions just yell - there usually someone logged on during the day :top:

Welcome bud

As Ed said

sills, rear arches, inner arches.

Also take the spare wheel out and check there, its not very common rusting spot but if one of the light gaskets is leaking water will pool in the boot under the spare wheel.

On photos, it looks like surface rust... Will have a good bang around, see what falls off and what doesn't!

Well... I went to look at it.. :\

And i bought it :p .. FULL service history, 10 months mot, 6 months tax, slight hole on bottom on the arch which will get welded, gonna get it painted! And then little bits of rust around the car, which will get resprayed! Pictures tomorrow!

Edit, when driving along. You give it some death and it doens't move just rev's like mad, all gears go in fine.. so guess the clutch is slipping?

Wooohhh another white GL to join the ranks !!!!!!!!!! :P

Could be the cable, or need adjustment

The worse case scenario is the clutch or box but the good (ish) news is that they are cheap and easy to come by :to
