Looks like i've made some of you reconsider xD lol! Thanks, it's finally taking shape. I'm just prepping the shell to be painted. Then i'm going to paint the car so not long :D

Here's a minute update:

Alloy tank hole cut
Image
Side skirt fibre-glassing
Image
filled a little flatter
Image
Tracktion bar turned up 8)
Image
I love this veiw too much!
Image
Air jack mounts made
Image
Image
Seat rails made and in.... Also decided to go center exit exhaust so ordered some straight stainless and cutting the end of my buddy club off and welding it on
Image
PAINT !
Image
Image
Screen out and cleaned ready for paint
Image
Not sure if this is on here already or not.... side skirt mounts (well MK1's, changed how i did it after this, now mounts using the factory placements but still used rivit nuts.)
Image
Image
The hole is for the fuel sender.... could have gone underneath but thought it would look nicer inside. Used my folder to make the base, front and back and lips.
Image

I'm painting it Jacc's colours, as said from the start ;) Will probably take 2-3 weeks to paint it.
Shall upload the picture of the cage this weekend ;)

P.s. it's an eBay turbo kit. I'm running low boost for now until i build my engine later this year.
At that point i may well change alot of parts in this kit so they will ultimately perform better, last longer and are much stronger.... But for now it's a great start to the turbo world...

OH ! And i'm staying carb. Making a plenum chamber for my dellortos. Just like all the early esprits. FUN :D !

I thoroughly agree. I love the people that build up their cars over time and put their own work into the car rather than buying something from a tuner, having them fit it, never knowing how to do it or never got their hands greasy.
Fair play if you know how to do it but its a tough job etc, but people who buy stuff like new wheels or whatever and have a garage fit them is stupid!
