true ^ i cut a coil from my fronts on the ef1 sit ok , springs still strong . the rears however were miles off could not seat them properly . not advised, but once the springs are in good shape and just a coil or two cut you should be ok in my experience anyway

Update time!

Went down to Rare Rims in Crediton on the Tuesday after xmas to pick the 8J et0 Grid V's...

They went on pretty easily, i thought it would be more of a struggle!

my mate Brinn also picked up a set of Grid V's in the same size for his EG, i think it looks amazing!!

These are two of the first 3 sets to be fitted in the UK, which is pretty cool!

I'm well chuffed with how it sits, more than i thought i would be, a nice late xmas present!

Big thanks to Julian at Rare Rims for opening up the shop late and while on his xmas break.... top bloke

Did you wreck the arches like that putting them on or were they that bad before?

Yeah, i'm well pleased with the way it sits now, cheers mate, the EG is sooo sick!

Cheers man :top: yeah they come in 7J too, ET20, i had this size before the 8J's were available, look back earlier in my thread for pics of them on my car...

Cheers man, hopefuly be up to the next brizzle meet, hopefully will be D16 powered by then!!

Thanks mate, means a lot!

Cheers, they really are quite special haha! i love em :D
Louis wrote:Did you wreck the arches like that putting them on or were they that bad before?
yeah, the rears were already rusty, but covered in filler and paint, so they didn't look quite as bad before, but the light arch rolling caused them to fall apart!!
The front drivers wing was dented when i bought the car, so we beat it back to shape a bit, but this has made it a bit ripply. the passenger wing is pretty much ok, a little dent on the arch, again already there when i got the car...
Will all be sorted out and resprayed (maybe a colour change :) ) when funds allow
