Owen92's EC9 build

Post by Owen92 »

hi, having bought my EC9 about 6 months ago in relatively standard form, I thought it was time to start a build thread showing my progress so far. I purchased the car from a fellow forum user. Unfortunately i only have phone pics of when i got it.

Since then i have continued to modify and maintain it the best i can. I have attempted a fair amount of bodywork myself, with no previous experience. My current spec list is as follows:

Rota slipstreams wrapped in Toyo T1R tyres
Lightweight annodised blue wheel nuts
Ebc green stuff front pads and ebc oem discs
mk3 golf front splitter
vt rear splitter
jdm style tow hook
relocated square front plate
tilted spoiler
dewipered rear
debadged rear
professionally tuned and rebuilt carbs with airbox removed
japspeed heatwrapped stainless 4-2-1 manifold
stainless centre section
custom mij performance angled can
spoon reservoir socks
jamex shocks and springs f+r
vt rear light clusters
red honda badges
80/100 watt off road bulbs
tegiwa shifter extension
skunk2 gearknob
sparco deep dish suede steering wheel
recaro reclinable buckets with custom low position rails
takata harness
stripped out rear
sony headunit
and probably more i cant remember.....

future plans include:
front and rear strut braces
short shift kit
coilovers
possibly mini-me or d16z6 conversion

here are some up to date pics:

Ahh, IIRC, the guy who had this bought my old D16z6 engine?
