We have blast off!! LIFT-OFF!! ***NEW PICS p44***
My mechanic sucks balls!!
He's had the car two weeks. I get hold of him today, and he said the car isnt done as it has a stripped thread on a front wheel stud. If he had rang me yesterday i could of ordered the part and had it today.
He hasnt done the RTAs, because it passed the MOT and they look nasty...
WTF? this guy is a seriously good mechanic, but it an Audi specialist. hes my mates step dad, so thats why i take it to him, but definately not again.
he hasnt done half the stuff ive asked him to. only thing hes done is the brakes.
FFS!!!

Sounds good Marc will look very nice once its all done
Be prepared for more wheel stud problems though, when i was doing the engine change in the Gl i bent a wheel stud got a new one so should have been really easy to fit but....nope. all the thrread on the hub had shreaded so it had to be welded on

lol, the studs are fine, i swapped wheels a few times with no issues and copper-greased them, it was the fact the mechanic let his monkey do it, with an airtool i expectwalsh123 wrote:Sounds good Marc will look very nice once its all done

Most probably, as Dave said, not a massive issue. He road tested it so there will be some miles on it.Craig G wrote:Fingers crossed for Saturday... did you take a note of the mileage before he took it in, he's not just out driving it around with three studs
The Shuttle is finally sorted!!
I'm going to pick it up tomorrow. I still need the gearbox oil changing, RTA bushes fitting, flush the coolant system and fit a new rad, then do the above... and give it a good clean and polish.
ive got a few spare, ill checkNed wrote:dude is the mirror on your passenger side sun visor any good? mines all nasty. if your swapping over can i buy your standard one?
so I've got the Shuttle back.
things that still need doing as the mechanic is a big cock
- RTA bushes
- fix speedo
I've given it a clean, and ive noticed quite a few splashes of lacquer on the wing/bonnet/headlight, scratches to the front and rear bumper, scuffs... and a big scrape on one of the new arches. im now VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYY pissed off, and the guy from the bodyshop is on holiday until the weekend
FOR FUCKS SAKE!!! why isnt anything going right for me and this fucking shuttle!!!!
