JDM Integra XSi DA8 Sedan (lots of pics)
thought i would actually start a build up good old 4guk... seeing as i spend most of my time here and my teg shares a lot of parts from the 4th gen civic.
was on the hunt for a cheap honda as a run around, not really a project... but, this came up on piston heads for £500
with a few phone calls and a 2 hour drive i picked this up for £400
i can honestly say i have never seen another sedan here in the UK so i count myself lucky to have found it and got it for the price i paid.
any way, few pics of how it was when i got it...
as you can see its far from being the best looking thing in world but with an impressive spec list and lots of potential i had to have it...
i wasnt working when i first got the car so modding was slow to begin with... just fitting a few parts i already had just to make the car look a little more respectable.
wheels, 15" pana sport pro ralley with datum one toe eye... powder coated bright yellow.
had some coilover sleeves so chucked them in just to give the car a decent stance and less 4x4-ish look. lol
had a free weekend as well so whipped the spoiler off...
few pics of how it was looking...
around this time i got a job, so i could start to spend a bit of money on the car... starting with the exhaust.
when i got the car it had some POS twin DTM pipe on it but because i lowered it so much and the back box was so big it literally dragged on the floor so for a week or so i running open header
first pay check came in and got this made up...
no idea if this will work but this is supposed to be a vid of the car running open header...

the misses was very happy the car was now a lot less "in your face" haha
dreaded rust:
one pic is off side and other is near side... i forget which is which... since the pics the rust has been cut out and plate welded.
few pics from a good camera at the cars first outing at my local bristol meet...
after the bristol meet i took the car to the first mimms meet of the year and then the weekend after the work started... i didnt want to start the project until the winter months but with the clutch blown i decided to start sooner rather than later.
good mate of mine owns a small garage so he is letting me use one bay to work on my car... legend or what
first night of work was pretty much strip as much as pos... pics...
next day... after fueling up...
LOL... time for the engine to come out...
im still undecided on exterior colour but i know i wanted something 'in your face' under the bonnet... so went with this. thinking about changing the colour now to a bright red but dunno?
started stripping all the suspension components out...
daily drive, ivtec
getting dirty now... this windscreen had a crack in it so got it replaced through my insurance. only took 6 months to get here from honda japan. lol
claim started in january 2010 and the new one got fitted last week
taking the paint off the cam cover... prob gunna get my next door neighbor to sand blast it.
was saving my pennies at the time for these shinny bits
15x8J rota zero plus ET10... gunna be running 195/45/15 rubber so nice and stretched.
pretty much takes me up to now... as i said i got the new windscreen fitted last week and ive ordered a few new bits.
just loading some new pics to my photobucket so i'll load them up in a min.
hope you have enjoyed reading and looking... comments welcome

windscreen out and new one in...
did some more work on the boot lid...
ive had to restart it because it had a really bad step in the old paint... plus i hated how the black came out. gunna do as much as the prep work as i can but leave the actual paint to a pro.
and just 2 more randoms... lol

Glad to see you're back on your feet Jon, and doing what you do best, make nice Honda's nicer
Did your insurance company charge you the standard windscreen excess (£70ish) to replace it with a JDM Bronze windscreen? Who ordered the windscreen?
This is going to be very different.
