would help if i had a welder that wasnt tempremental! Example, the gas stopped working earlier for no reason (new bottle), Gauge showing 60psi into the welder, and when pressing the button, no gas :?

Left it 10 minutes, came back and it started working :?

is the wire workig all the time? does it have a separate wire feed or anything?? check for loose plugs if it does! could be a dodgy regulator try turning up the gas screw a bit! could explain the spitting as well maybe the gas is to low!

I could make one out of steel, then fibreglass over the top as a mould, BUT, i dont know how to fibreglass, and i think it needs a secondary mould to shrink it so it fits?

If you're making a fibre-glass mould you'd have to make it on the outside. Then to make copies you just lay fibre-glass in the mould and pop it out, bada bing bada boom!

Bloody hard work and ALOT of money! i want to mould my front bumper but it will cost like 500quid or so just to buy enough fibreglass matt+activator to do the job. Not worth it basically.

buy it in bulk its cheaper, i sort of had a crack at it a few years back. came out gash, but that said i went and bought a cheap pack from halfords for the instructions went and bought a bucket load of it from some place that sells matting in any length up to 3m wide.

but yeah to make moulds of the stuff it wouldn't be cheap for materials let alone the cock up test ones.

Having someone coming tomorrow to price up the welding! hes been welding a mate of a mates car, and he updates everyday on facebook of the progress, im impressed by the speed and quality of the work hes doing!
