If you still want comfort, 35mm-40mm drop is ideal. If you want to go any lower, your best getting adjustable coilovers IMO.
Note that spring kits that mate up to the OEM dampers have a nasty habit of wearing the OEM damper out....fast! So, I would always recommend a full spring and damper kit. Have a search for Tokico, Gaz, Jamex for cost effective solutions...or go all out with some fully adjustable coilovers like K-sport, D2, MeisterR Tein etc.

some cheap coilover sleaves off ebay on standard shocks would be fine then ya can set it to wat ever height you want .i have had dis setup for 2 or more years and my standard shochs are grand no leeks or anyting and the roads i drive on are rough out.its fair to say iv put the shocks and springs through their pases and their grand + wots the point in spending BIG money on a good set if the roads are rough out where you live theyl just get distroyed

Standard damper will not do well with 50mm lowering springs.
The standard 4G damper is very short already, taking another 50mm of stroke travel out will be a very bad idea.

Coilovers is the best solution, but it is expensive so it depends on your budget.

Check your current dampers to make sure they are in good condition still... and if that is the case I won't go more then 35mm if I can.

If the dampers isn't in good condition, you might as well go straight for coilovers as it will be a vast improvement and it will replace the fail dampers at the same time.

hmm, coilover sleeves are notoriously bad and are a budget way of lowering your car. They were on a prelude I used to own and basically destroyed the suspension which in the end got completely replaced.

Grinch - you may think they are sound but if you replaced them with coilovers you would see a major improvement, esp if you've been running them for 3 years! I ran standard shocks on lowering springs and they lasted 5 minutes.
