nah its not had any work at all on the arches in the past just really quite badly gone, only welding ever is patch repairs to both sides sill where it meets the rear arch, you can see repair areas on first set of pics, but yes, i'll be makin like a surgeon for sure, exploratory incisions will be made lol

nah its the seam sealer thats been applied from the inside after the quarter panel was fitted

Dont hold back on that rust, go for it like a mofo and kill it.

Back end does look quite clean though under the bumper :top:

Looks like your making good progress bud, the rust doesnt look that bad ive seen much worse, keep up the good work

thanks for the comments folks, at work today not getting home til after 8 so nothing doing today but interior is out tomorrow ! got space to store all my panels bumpers etc while i get the main stuff sorted which is good :), inner arches where it meets the sill on both sides is quite bad but else where it looks not too bad, certainly enough to build from with some fabricated up panels

little update, got garage cleaned out and some more exterior trim and most of the interior removed, just pillar covers headliner sunroof and carpet to come out leaving only the dash which im not sure im gonna remove or not, anyways we all like pics so heres some for ya

car in its new home for the forseeable future

rear centre garnish , wiper and "H" removed ( will be welded/filled and smoothed )

wipers and scuttle panel removed, no major issures here :)

winscreen trim removed and excess sealer removed to inspect pillars for rust, screen is shafted anyways due to split laminations and water ingress so is coming out regardless and during my poking about i cracked both top corners of screen lol pillars and top seal area look perfect apart from 1 or 2 little areas of surface rust

next on the agenda is bonnet, boot and doors off, shortly followed by the removal of the windscreen, then it is rust murdering time

not been able to get much done last couple weeks with work and wedding stag party plans etc and getting pished going out having fun having a life etc but as soon as im back and recovered from a week in magaluf then it'll be full steam ahead
