Just another EE9 track car...
yeh ive been seeing lots of posts by Eximous
good to see the community helping each other out
so whats the deal with the ARB? i read that briefly too, but didnt think much of it as i thought the rear would bounce about and sway more...
why did they bother fitting one to the VT?

Cars looking Great
I'm suprised you even bothered tbh, I've always felt the rear of my car to be very planted and the only time it breaks free is if I make it.Rich4thGen wrote:My mate advised me on this as he's read several posts, backed up by Daz, that this helps keep the rear end settled and so far it seems this is true - the rear of the car seems to want to 'hop' less and therefore has more traction and feels more planted when giving it a bit of beans.

Cheers, to be honest I look after it better than I do myself!James4g wrote:your vt is so clean!
wish mine was half as clean as that
yeah, it struck me as strange when my mate suggested it but as its only 6 bolts I thought I'd give it a go. Not sure on the physics exactly but it definitely feels better. I think as its lowered and has a rear upper brace along with the arb it was too stiff - it used to feel like the rear was 'skipping' when going round corners before whereas now it feels as if the rear has the freedom to move so it doesn't skip. This is turn keeps the rear planted aiding traction. Maybe Daz if he reads this can eleborate...Marc_VT wrote:yeh ive been seeing lots of posts by Eximous

Thanks, but its far from perfect - there are some minor blemishes that the camera doesn't show and I have a scratch on my driver door which I'll be attacking soon! didn't know gls didn't have an arb either, good to know and i remember my old gl being a hoot in the corners!cryz2 wrote:your paint work is so lush
the Gls never had a ARB fitted , and love the way it felt in the corners

Thought I'd give it a go as it was only 6 bolts, and Daz has apparently done this to most of crx's. I can definitely feel an improvement but it could be variety of things to be honest - each suspension set up is different, one that works for one might not work for someone else, plus driver preference etc...

Gahh, I actually saw youre car parked up on youre driveway twice today! We went from Hampshire to Bournemouth today to drop my sister back off there whos currently going to AUCB as a uni student When we were driving around and I saw it I was like woaah, nice. hmm bet thats on 4guk =D
That part of Bournemouth is pretty bussy dont you reckon? Full of uni students like my sister going to all these massive dubstep parties & S*!t & promoting dubstep DJ's and stuff. Then theres the more quiet part with all the old peeps bless em
Besides that, youre motor is actually minttt. It looks so much better and fresher in the real flesh

got a bit bored so decided to tackle my bump strips. There pretty badly worn, and let the car down pretty bad:
so decided to spray them along with my vt sideskirts which aren't too fresh either. Forgot what a proper bastard it was to take the sills off (white clips for the lose) but nevermind - it looks way better now
came out pretty well (some pics are in the dark so sorry for that)
