dampers
Right, I've decided to uprate my suspension for my ee9. I've searched and can find naff all on the subject as I'm being quite specific.
I'm loathed to get coilovers because the roads round here are attrocious and they'd last 5 minutes. Covered in speed bumps and mahoosive potholes.
I have a set of D2 springs and am now looking for some uprated dampers to put on which will give me a nice balance between road use and the occasional track day.
However the only dampers I can find anywhere are for the 1.6 16v - not for the vtec. Although these will fit I'm worried it won't be 'right' as the b16 engine is significantly heavier.
Any ideas or suggestions? I only really want to spend £300 as there are some other things my ee9 deserves.
Thanks

Hey Rich,
You have a problem sir!.....comfort and handling comes at a price. You can have 1 but not both for that money...unless you are very lucky to come across a suitable second hand pair. IMO, Koni Yellow adjustables with Ground Control coilovers are your best option..or Eibach springs....but costly. Daz recomends Gaz coilies IIRC...forgot which spring rates he chose...but that I suspect is your cheapest option. I'd have a search on here as to what he suggested with regards to springrates. D2 springs I would have thought would be quite tough for rough roads.

Although I have seen some Jamex kits flying about at £350. Anyone rate them?
