Looks like a Nikon D50...just goes to show how good 6.1mp can be with a decent quality lens.

At the size and resolution we are looking at the pics, the amount of megapixels has nothing to do with the picture quality (as long as there are a reasonable amount of megapixels of course)

A picture taken with my 300d would look just as good as one taken with a 500d, assuming the same lens. The same 300d will blow a 12 mp point and shoot out of the water.

I quite agree...shame manufacturer's generally push the megapixel-count rather than make really good lens' and noise-free sensors.

I don't know a lot of photography, the pictures are taken by a friend.

He uses a Nikon D50 and some lens, but I don't know exactlly, I'll ask him!!
