You'd also have to cut out the whole arch at the back because if you raise the shock towers 2" then you will end up with the wheels resting on the actual arch.

He was meaning for the Shuttle, not your car.

If you lower it too much at the front your Upper control arms will contact the chassis. And if you have it too low at the back you may find you have very little travel before the tyres hit the arch.

Just to add my 2p

Meisters Zeta S i think i have... as it was asked how low they go...

I have about another inch or so i can twist the botttom of the coils to lower it, but i just dont think its possible to run a car like that..

Danny, thats more than low enouth for me.

Personally I can't see the fascination with getting your car so low it can barely move. But then I'm always thinking about the performance and practical side of things. My manifold wouldn't last long if I went any lower at the front and my exhaust is pretty big too so it would probably be the next to hit, it already has some yellow paint on it from Uni speedbumps. :x

Mike_civic - At least you are running narrow wheels, they should fit under without hitting the lips of the arch.

I paid £25 for them with 4 near bald odd sized tyres....

I thought i got a bargain, but not of that kinda size...

I really don't get the desire to go too low. IMO, my GL is a little too low, but I love the look....but any lower and it really just wouldn't handle or deal with obstacles.

There are 2 ways around dropping it...as said, you can do it properly and spend a fortune on fabrication of the shock towers....and any other custom mods to the suspension that'll need doing.......this has been done before...although I CBA searching for the pics right now.....or you could just get these:

They look promising but I really do not know much about them. I thought they may be good to use with just a very mild damper upgrade, and whacking great ARBs....one may be able to retain a very soft ride then.

In your case....fit these and coilys and you'll beach the car.
