Oh, I get the headlights to save weight (I have the same plastic ones, they look far nicer too) and the mats as you want the interior to look nice.

What I don't get get is why it matters if its JDM or not.

It doesnt, but its the JDM models that have these bits. the JDM mats for instance have the holes in for the mat stay.

Indeed. I try to park away from other cars if i can though, so I dont get any more door dings.
It's just an added 'gizmo' for the car. i love the button!!
