repainting/coating b16a1 valve cover

as above really, im wanting to do this to my one as the standard black cover is proper scruffy black flaking off, oil stains around filler cap etc, i want to go type-r red on it can anyone point me in the direction of the best kind/brand of paint to use and any tips on doing this, ie how did you get the paint off/how did you mask of the lettering etc etc ???

Just out of curiousity - is it possible to colour code you rocker cover to your car colour and if so - how ?

I did mine with just some old paint i had lying around.....nothing special lol

There's a quick guide on how to do it there. You can use normal spray paint to do it like you get from halfords so you can have your cover any colour you want
