16-16 SEDAN? SALOON?
16-16 SEDAN? SALOON?
I want to put a vt or a 16-16 into a sedan....
I'm trying to find out if there was ever a 16-16 sedan produced for the english market, also if a vt was produced but i'm sure there wasn't a vt.
Also just to confirm if i want to put the vt or 16-16 into a sedan it's a lot easier if you have a fuel injected model beacuse of petrol tanks and fuel lines but if say i want to put a vt into a 16-16 do i still need to change the loom?
Thanks for any help

Ok well thats helped a lot but one thing i'm not quite clear on is... if i want to put the b16 or a d16 into a 1.4 sedan is it going to be harder (because of the wiring loom) than putting the d16/b16 into a 1.4 civic hatch or a 1.5 crx etc...???
one more thing, do i need to change the loom if i want to swap a b16 into a d16 car?
Cheers

yes, because of that reason - the loom being harder to findpoops1st wrote:Ok well thats helped a lot but one thing i'm not quite clear on is... if i want to put the b16 or a d16 into a 1.4 sedan is it going to be harder (because of the wiring loom) than putting the d16/b16 into a 1.4 civic hatch or a 1.5 crx etc...???

Having a car with four doors and four side windows where you can't use two of them is dumb IMO. It's ghetto as hell and you'd be wrecking the car. But yes, you could just extend a hatch loom.
Tanks are different, the lines won't fit the floorpan right and may be too short. Beevers panels claim to have a 4 door injection tank on their list, but the hole in the floor where the wiring etc comes out won't be there either
The wiring and tank/loom swapping job is a huge pain in the arse when the chassis is the same (3dr to 3dr or Crx to Crx) I'd imagine it will be ten times worse doing it to a different chassis.
Anyway, it is doable, but won't be easy.
