i just got a civic vt for £800 mot n taxed 99000k totaly standerd got it off an old granny and it feels so slow it take ages to hit vtec and then takes ages to redline i nearly got beat from a redtop cavvy that must be a bad thing

my mates eg vti leaves it for dead it runs 14.7 on the 1/4 its onlt got a full exhaust n decat

Well 14.7 is pretty quick for a near standard civic!!!
I've run a 14.8 in mine but usually run low to mid 15's.
Your mate is probably a pretty good driver and knows how to get the best from his car.

Well you could get it rolling roaded and see if it's down on power and maybe make sure the brakes arn't sticking or something like that.

am goin to get it on the rolling road when my 4-1 mani full exhaust coilovers and wheels arive in 3 weeks am going to order stage2 skunk2 cams and springs in the next week or so

Its probably been used to a life of going slow and its not sure whats hit it...

Pipercross/Spoon panel filter, remove the resonator and make a direct cold air feed.
