i-VT vs MK2 GTI

ok fellas,

ive just had a massive discussion on msn with my mate, who claims that the golf mk2 gti 16V is faster than the civic i-vt (ee,ef)..

Ive told him its complete bull and that he should really read up on some facts before making his point..

Hes even challenged me to a line up, lolllll what a joker, ive told him i'll be waving at him in my rear view mirror before he can change into 2nd gear....

Who agrees...? or is the golf gti mk2 16v on paper quicker? lolll!

having read the base specs on performance... kill him good and get someone to take a video just to humiliate him over and over again!

yea i was thinking about making a video, let me dust him and i'll be posting a vid soon..! lol just that he made me crack up when he goes

clearly he hasnt experienced vtec mode.! oh well!!

My mates golf gti 16v ran a 16.9 at pod i think.....so not really any competition there

i notice there a bigger engine and oh yeah they all have superchargers dont they ?they have to do that to get a hike of power up vw cant build a fast engine ..
then bring the h22 into that , how much brake s has that got and that aint even got a turbo , vw enginers cant make an engine that willl provide massive amopunts of power with out a turbo . my dads had gti mk2s he got his sir delsol he said this hes never had more fun in a car better chasis as well as a better engine ..

u wanna argue vw versus honda we can go on about it all day long .... and we wont get any where any way i do beleave this is about an

ivt or and a 16 v vw gti of course the honda wins and any vw owner who says different is lieing to them, selves fact......

and bye the way im not tht stupid i no vw have attempted to make quick cars but i think they make great shopin trollys im not dishing them eather mate

The good thing about the VW's is how easy engine swaps are

My mates put a 2L 8v in his Scirocco

and everything just bolted pretty much straight up. Swapped a few mounts and changed to carb from injection it ran a 15.5 the other day, which is pretty quick, and he's only put a cam in it.

The G60 is a 1.8 supercharger. BHP means nothing, VW's are all about torque.
You say 'VW cant build a fast engine',that is pretty narrow minded considering you didn't know the size of the G60.
VW is the same as AUDI, if your 29yrs old like me you'll remember the 1980's AUDI 4WD rally car which turned rallying on it's head, any classic FORD ESCORT owner(steve) will tell you.
We should all give thanks to VW, it is 1 of the original hot hatches made back in 1976.
Anyway as i said before,

ive a problem with wubs in genral a head rest in one broke my noise

im not getting up set i was 80% shore that the superchared came in 1.8 except the polo , i didnt get upset i just hate them like the plauge and i allways will its a rival thing we have over here vw vrs jpo etc ....kinda sad ..

haveing said that i drove a 1.8 t and when i changed gear i thaught i broke it the car fell dead but yeah sorry for rantin on there bit i just

vws no offence to any owners on the sight ...
