Just had a quick check and unfortunately 1 has a crack through it so I wouldn't put it on a car tbh, unless wonkyness is what your after!
The other 3 are all good however, barely any paint peel, if you want them just let me know - i can bring to South Mimms meet and you can have them for free

You do indeed have a stunning example though, for sure. Have to say, mine has already changed quite a bit from when i picked it up too! But I can also think of another 20 things I want to do just off the top of my headEE9 CVC wrote:I've had mine almost two years now and I've still a long way to go, although when I look back it has changed a lot.
By the way, you'll never really be finished with the modding.

Thanks very much, I'm impressed you managed to find a Red VT in condition like yours, its a very good base to start from.Rich4thGen wrote:You do indeed have a stunning example though, for sure. When I bought mine I didn't intend to do much to it, now I've done loads to it and still have a never ending list. It has to stop sometime but, I need to save up for my next big Idea.

Cheers. It is a good shell which is whats made me start working on it. I intended just to drive it but have got extremely carried away, esp with taking it to Germany lol.EE9 CVC wrote:Thanks very much, I'm impressed you managed to find a Red VT in condition like yours, its a very good base to start from.

You'll have to keep us updated on your next project though - esp if your vt is anything to go buy. What'll happen to the vt by the way? Gonna keep it?

Took the vt to the Dorset Jap Show today and put it on a rolling road
Before you see the read out the guy even before we started said it was off by a margin of 5 - 10%. It was a rolling road in the middle of a field too but for 20 quid I thought why not. The bloke also said the had trouble with my torque steer so struggled to keep it in a straight line
So, readout came in at 137.3 hp but with the 5 - 10% margin of error accounted for I'm pushing 150 - 160hp which is spot on. A good base to start from, as I would ideally like around 180hp. I'm also impressed with the good progressive torque I'm getting too
Anyway some pics:

I will do, its going to be a lot better than the VT as I intend to take it off the road for a year to build it and continue to use the VT as my daily. I'll never sell her.Rich4thGen wrote:You'll have to keep us updated on your next project though - esp if your vt is anything to go buy. What'll happen to the vt by the way? Gonna keep it?
If that dyno was reading low then thats not a bad result for a stock engine, do you have the results from other cars to compare it to?

No, unfortunately not. I was aware that the skyline before me ran 450hp on the dyno 7 months ago and on this dyno came out with 257hp, so it wasn't terribly accurate.EE9 CVC wrote:If that dyno was reading low then thats not a bad result for a stock engine, do you have the results from other cars to compare it to?

Totally agree - the owner of the skyline was pretty unhappy! And yeah - the readout should be RPM at the bottom imo.dida4g wrote:That's lazy work from that dyno.
The scales on the right have no meaning, just like the bottom scales that are in MPH, Why? it should have been RPM's at the bottom.
I've seen a couple of those "In the field Dyno's" every owner left unhappy.
This is a readout from the wheels though, not the flywheel.
Its got me interested in getting it done properly now though for sure, once I've done a few more things...
