Not good at all. Best wishes to him for a speedy recovery and to all his family and friends.
2 inches the other way and it surely would have ploughed straight through he centre of his visor (unthinkable what could have happened). I think all the slow motion replays have now been removed from youtube. I did see one though and it wasnt until they slowed it down to a few frames per second that you could actually see it hit him. Very scarey crap! His body went limp immediately. Imagine if that was mid race with other cars closer to him
Could have been much much worse.
Now he is stable and making some sort of recovery its completely stupid for people to be talking about him racing again at this early stage. C'mon FFS! The guy has just had major brain surgery. IF he doesnt end up having brain damage at the least..... the pressures his head and face go under (g forces... concentration etc etc etc) during an F1 race are so intense its just asking for further injury!!!! As long as he can recover to a stable condition and be able to live a sensible day to day life that should all that people care about.
God speed Felipe!![Cool 8)](./images/smilies/icon_cool.gif)
