Finally managed to do some work on the civic today. Im no longer removing the engine, until winter anyway, I want the car on the road for JAE.
Gave the engine a degrease and a wash. Got my rocker cover off of Marc, had it sprayed cappacino brown as a tribute to my old brown saloon!

Gave a few bits a polish and fitted new spark plugs and some new Magnecor KV85 leads.
Notice anything missing?
Yep, the battery. I relocated it to the boot today. Used a battery box from a boat!

Worked really well, the box is acid proof and is vented with a strap to secure it.
I had to use 4 metres of 40mm thick battery cable, some heavy duty ring terminals, heavy duty battery terminals, 1 metre of 30 mm earth cable and some engine bay earths.
Pics:
Positive to starter motor and fuse box.
Ran the cable through the grommit on the nearside.
Ran the cable up the nearside, was easy as theres no interior
Earth lead fitted.
Battery box all fitted. I drilled through the boot floor using 4 10mm bolts, ensuring I undersealed it afterwards.
Im really pleased with how it turned out. Only cost around £50 in total for everything needed to relocate the battery. Should improve weight distribution and makes the engine bay look alot tidier.
Some other pics from earlier:
Just need to get a new windscreen sorted, an mot, insurance and tax before JAE.
