Give it a good run before its MOT.

Clean up the brake discs and work the handbrake in case its sticking a little.

Once i've worked out how to go back in time I'll do those things...

I've been running the engine up to operating temp each day and taking it for quick drives round the back streets to keep things moving, so hopefully will be ok. Think my biggest concern is rust...

As long as your sills and arches are ok you should be fine, remember its just a visual inspection on most parts.

Not heard anything yet, is no news good news?!

If anything needs doing they always phone first to make sure you want it done, so either they haven't finished yet, or its passed and they've forgotten to phone me (which has happened before!)... hopefully its the latter!

failed on rusted sills on both sides, one tyre (although all 4 really need replacing), the captive nut that i broke trying to fit the suspension, and various other advisories...

I have absolutely zero money.

I'm gutted, i'll ask about how much it would cost to get it fixed when i pick it up, but at the moment my only real option is selling it for spares/repair.
