Phantom Grey EK3 Saloon/Sedan (Custom Rear Spoiler)

So seeing as i sold my micra yesterday i decided i wanted a ek3 saloon,came across a bog standard one body wise it was prety clean drives good,could do with a service but nothing i cant do lol

Managed to get some more pics of it yesterday will be giving it a clean inside n out today,looking at the engine bay it seems as if the bonnet has never been opened with all them layers of dust n dirt

Seeing as im updating thought I'd share pics of my mates ek3 hatchback as I did take a few pics of it



Getting back on to mines,picked up a rear lip and test fitted it

Fitted my stereo

Changed Rear oem Speakers


Hopefully will be collecting my front lip soon aswel as an ek9 style grill

Fiitted the lip to the original bumper but didnt quiet like the bump strips being there..

So went back to the scrappys and picked up the coupe rear bumper,front one was smashed so only bought the rear one for now,will be getting it painted up soon and fitted to the car

Yep lol got a few mods planned for this and my ec i still have,hopefully il get back on that soon and finish off whats left

Managed to get hold of a front lip,will be painting everything up and fitting it up just waiting on an ek9 style grill,started tinting the rear windows today too,came out better then expected lol

Some more updates,change front and rear 501 bulbs to SMD ones look much better then the pale yellow ones..



Secondly started prepping up my front lip for paint..

And painted gloss black

And finally painted some brake light bulbs for the front amber USDM indicator mod

Fitted the front lip,front end looks alot better now

Done the front USDM amber conversion too while i was at it..

Had some thunder grey paint left over so thought id paint the speedo cluster

Looks much better now


Had bought a ek9 style grill but seeng as it took so long to come i had already decided to paint the oem in gloss black,day later the ek9 style one had arrived..

Both look decent i guess


Then decided to take off the rear bumper to paint the rear lip,still needs to be lacquered though

While i was waiting for it to dry i thought ii'd test fit the coupe rear bumper..

So it was the time to do the ek9 style headlights..
seeing as i was going to split them open i thought id do a custom double bulb conversion for the usdm's as i didn't like them being so dull lol..but yeah some progress pics..

and in the housing too

Masked up and primered..

and done,painted them the same colour as the car,came out really well,also gave them a coat of lacquer to for a little shine..left the indicator section chrome as i have something else planned for that..

Updates so far,got the front bumper off to get the lip fitted properly

Lights fitted to the car


And front end looks perfect now..


And this is the differance on the USDM conversion,top iis normal dual fillament conversion and bottom is the double bulb


Then decided to remove these from the rear loghts aswell as do the jdm conversion

So seeinig as the front end was looking better i thought i'd do something with the rear..

And off came the spoiler..

Started cutting n slicing bits off

And done

Test fitted..looks alot better,still needs abit more minor work and will be fitted back on

Got my back lip painted and ready,now to fix the coupe rear bumper and paint it up,also some more pics of the spoiler test fitted,still needs abit more work
