I've decided to show the reason because of which there was no progress on my ED7.
Currently in my garage resides my sisters BA4 Prelude which needs a transplant.
The old B20A3 engine was burning excessive ammounts of oil and when she bought this car, there was a B20A9 engine sold with it.
Some pictures of the car..

So a month ago i started doing some work on it.. First i've decided to tear down the old engine because the condition of it was unknown.

The previous owner of the Prelude only bought another car for parts and that's where he got this engine from only drove some 200 kilometers with it, so knowing the condition of the engine was impossible.

Then i started unhooking the engine bits.. So much vacuums on this damn carbie B20A3!

The "new" block with a box 'o bits on top of it..

That was the end of the day, a last sad look towards my ED7 and i left..

Then i got hakosuka to help me bring the old engine out..

One of the reasons this thing was using so much oil

Then i started gutting the interior and getting out the old engine loom.

Had to gut the entire interior because the loom goes in the weirdest of places.. Now all i gotta do is cut the old carbie loom off just behind the passenger side seat and splice in the new PGM-FI one. The rear part is the same, so no issues there. If i were to change it whole i'd spend another day or two just on that, which i find a huge waste of time.

Last weekend i went to a friend to wash the block internals, only to find this inside the sump

A trail of gold going all along the inside of the block..

Well... feck!

The engine was dropped off at a shop that will rebuild the bottom end..

Before knowing that though we cleaned the inside of a cylinder head because we only wanted to surface it and fix the valve seats then slap it back on the block..

Next on the list is:
- splicing in a new PGM-FI loom
- make a fuel supply line
- change the engine tank for a PGM-FI one
- drop the head off to be refreshed
- assemble the engine and pray to god that it works
