Hi All,

I have a sligh issue that I could really use some help with.

Image

As you can see I've got a cracked headlamp, Now my MOT is up in just over a month a If I can't get this sorted she's not going to pass. I've been doggedly checking Ebay for the last 3 months and nothing has come up, even to the point that I paid over £40 for a 87 Shuttle lamp on the hopes it would fit (no joy!!). I'v checked every brakers in the midlands and been laughed at a lot! Honda say "wow you don't see many of those on the road and more, No we don't do any bits for them any more" to wich the last poor boy I said "well it won't be on the road much longer if you don't do the F**ing bits will it" (I was somewhat upset, and am used to Skoda, who still stock parts for everything they've made since the late 70s).

So Unless I can't find one I have 2 options; 1) Take it off the road for the winter and continue looking in the hope of finding one. 2) Get some small round lights and make upsome replacements with blanking plates and a like, but i'm slightly worried about it looking a bit too boy racerie

So any advice I'd be most greateful :OD

Try crxforum if you haven't already.
See if someone will lend you one for the MOT.

Pm JDM-mace he has a spare set of headlights from one we broke a while ago.

If you cant find one or get one form JDM mace, ill lend you a headlight from mine however i would want some money just as a deposit, obvisously i would send you it back when you send me the light back. Only reason for that is you are a fairly new member and finding one does seem to be a ball ache

Also im not sure if the guy removed it but there was someone about 2 months ago breaking a silver 3g i think he also signed up to crx-uk but didnt get a response to his thread might be worth a look :top:

Or, Drive to HULL, swap the light, go to Halfords for a MOT, swap back. 8)

That's a very kind offer and I will keep it in mind and give you a shout! And any assurances you needed to get the lamp back, that's cool :-)

I've messages a guy who had a silver 3G on eBay about a month ago, and also asked a guy on the CRX forum, who was braking one, but I have a horrid feeling it's the same guy! So we'll have to wait and see!

I've never thought about a staff discount at Halfords, think maybe I should look at working a couple of hours a week there and save myself q small fortune :D

Well I've found a couple of headlamps (or other people have found them for me) and a couple of other bits. So hopefully we're all good. But the offer is amazing! Thank ever so much!
