Here is a diagram I made up which makes it so much easier to follow rather than me ramble on.

Image

The hardware...
- Fog lights
- Wiring
- Fog switch with pigtails
- Relay
- Brackets

1. Take off your front bumper. On the back there are two or three templates (depending which model Civic you have) for the types of fog lights they supply from the factory. Choose the one that suits you, or cut your hole within the templates, otherwise the light/bracket you fix will touch the bumper and not fit right. I split a black hose and put round the hole to make it look neat.

2. Make some brackets. Here's a rough sketch of what I did, you can alter them depending how the lamps mount.

3. Go into the drivers footwell, remove the fusebox cover. Get a length of wire (for 'live'), attach a female spade connector to one end, and attach to #2 spare power slot on the fuse box, and then to the back of the switch. Then wire the relay to the switch (with spade connectors). Also earth and power the relay too. You can use another spare slot on the fuse box, or wire to the battery with an inline fuse. The last port is the 'power' for the lamps, so run a few metres of wire through the bulk head, round the engine bay and down out the front where they will sit.

4. Attach the lamps, tidy up any wires with zip ties, and make sure they work. Then make sure the front bumper will go on ok, your brackets might need minor modifications. FYI, the brackets attach next to where the bumper does.

That's about it. I know the pictures are missing, so I will try and get them sorted out soon.
