Yes it will occasional fire, but most of the time strugle to crank over

Sorted 0gage wire is all you need

Make sure you use a sealed for life battery, or a gel battery if you are going to doing this as other batteries give off fumes and can be dangerous if you have a crash.

Ive just done this with 4 gauge wire and its struggling to crank over at times. Bought the wire from maplin as I was advised it would work

Sounds like an earthing Problem. I have 3 New earths in the engine bay with Thicker Copper Cable. and i have a 4AWG Earth cable from the battery. Make sure all contact points are on bare metal and greased up

Finally Ready to give this a shot..went to the local bmw breaker and got a Live wire out of a bmw as thy already have the battery in the boot and i wasnt going to pay £10 a meter for a 0 gauge wire lol

i did this a while ago, with a long bit of amp/sub wire, works fine :)

Done with 4awg wire and its running fine,cranks over just like it should to..:top:
