Cheers guys.

I've had the guides checked and they're all fine, the small amount of movement is normal. Pistons were taken out and bores were checked for roundness and they're perfect. Not glazed either. Rings on the pistons are perfect too, still have the sharp edges to them.

So it's just a case of building it all back up and putting some miles on it.

you should never have to manually adjust the tensioner. it does it automatically.

You fully load the spring, and tighten the bolt to secure it, install belt and undo the bolt, the tensioner will then spring into place, rotate engine 4 times and tighten the bolt, No need to manually put any tension on the belt.

They say all good things must come to an end.

And this is where this ends.

It's the best car I will ever own, it's been a dream owning probably the best EF9 in the uk (IMO).

Car will be getting back to standard ish and going for sale.

Have a look through the thread if you need anything. Il be putting stuff up for sale separately whe I've got more time.

Stuff that is staying on the car, obviously all the panels etc. Carbon hood. 282 and 262 brakes, braided hoses, 1 inch mc, nardi wheel, chargespeed spoiler, midwing, mudflaps and maybe a few other little things.

Everything else is for sale and some stuff has already sold.

Il be fitting a nice gen 2 b16a back in with a cable gearbox and reverting the car back to obd0.

Il explain my decision more when I get some more time. But no time is the main reason along with smokey engine.

What! Why! The longest build I've ever followed and an inspiration.

Such a shame mate.

Sorry to hear mate, but understandable very costly maintaining a EF-9 to a high standard especially with a family and Christmas around the corner!
