Hi guys.

I bought this with 33k miles on the clock, Cat C write off which I bought from Bigworm on here after posting a request for any civic in any spec in any condition. Couldn't have asked for a better reply, as it really is completely rust free, and apart from the damage is in timewarp condition.

I told Bigworm I would put up pics when I repaired it, so heres the pics of progress so far.

Pics when I got it;

A few weekends with a couple of hours spare here and there (new baby, new house and planning a wedding, so spare time is scarce)

I know the lines aren't perfect, but I have done this full repair with nothing but a sand mallet, a crowbar, some filler and a sanding block. In an ideal world, I would have pulled the full panel with a jig and had a da sander, but I suppose you make do with what you have.

I would appreciate your opinions lads and lassies

Those pics were take 20 mins before I posted Eth. Thats how she is now.

Will get some more pics put up, including showing my SIR doorcards courtesy of Walsh :top:

It did have paint on Eth, but only because I took some down to bare metal and didn't have any etch primer to hand, so sprayed with paint as it seals properly.

Took it back to bare metal in same places again and went over with etch before I started fixing properly.

Couple more hours filling some pinholes and feather the primer edges and I think its ready for paint. Never going to be 100% perfect without welding a new panel in, and it's only supposed to be a cheap daily.

Slight change of plan with this one. Talked the missus into trading her Ford KA for this as her car.

She wanted it a little bit more girly so cue one pink pinstripe set of refurbed vtec alloys with pink logo and a geisha girl graph for the side.

Did a temp spray job as we don't have the funds for a proper job until after the wedding (November)

I don't think its too bad for completely repaired and prepped with sanding blocks and sprayed with £30 worth of aerosol cans and sprayed on a driveway outside.

What do you guys think?

Haha. I got a manual GL from Stu on here, and the missus liked driving the auto so I let her have this one instead. Its just a right pita in traffic now, lol.

Maybe adding another to the fleet soon as well.
