haha it just had to be done,colour wise iv got y56 phoenix yellow/sunlight yellow in mind for now but if i find something brighter then i may change my mind

So i wanted to go for Y56 Phoenix/Sunlight yellow..but wasn't 100% sure,BUT all i can say is it was a perfect choice,it came out really well and i haven't even lacquered it yet..once the lacquer goes on it'l look a lot better..but here's some pics for now

yeah i was surprised how it came out,still needs lacquer yet though hopefully will be done by the end of this week and then il start preparing to get the engine back into it

Looking good mate! You going to do the under side of your bonnet too?
Iv heard people sealing it before the lac? Any ideas?

yep will be doing under the bonnet to as well as the slam panel i completely forgot about lol
and sealing? from what iv read and seen online i think its just primer,base and lacquer

So yesterday seeing as the weather was better i decided to get everything ready and out to get the engine back into the car..so started by bolting up all my manual mounts,painted the gearbox,and then had problems using the d14 pressure plate on the z6 flywheel as it just wouldn't line up so instead i swapped the flywheel out for a 1.4 one got it all bolted on,hopefully i can get the gear box on the the block and get the whole thing fitted into the bay today,didn't get no pics but a few a mate had taken

Good lad cuz finally getting the engine in :top:

The bay ................ Looks like egg yolk it really don't look bright enough to be Phoenix yellow ?

Exactly what i thought BUT turns out the more light that shines over it the brighter and the more it looks like Phoenix yellow,less light makes it like a mustardy yellow

yeah :not top: but not to bad as i can easily access the chipped area and do it again
