We made a bit more progress tonight, we have given the car a good service. Changed the oil, oil filer, spark plugs and have given the carbs a clean, it is running so much better now!! will do the fuel filter tomorrow. We have also got it up on axle stands ready to remove the auto box in the morning, cant fit the manual box until we get a clutch, flywheel and gear stick but we can mock everything up and get the holes cut and the pedal box fitted. Will post up some pictures tomorrow when it is light.

Yup, twas a good day :D , not sure about the project title tho, we need to get rid of the auto box asap, even if kickdown does feel like a pikey vtec! Also need some pics of you doing some work, lol.

For anyone who is interested in the ebay coilovers, just don't do it, downright dangerous! (ps - have a spare set for sale if interestedh  ).

A couple of pics from my camera phone:

Also had to empty an inch of water out of the O/S light, a common problem!

See, all working now:

Hi mate, I've no idea on the rear quarter but a quick search on here and I'm sure you'll find the best place. I've not really got anything up for sale, I do have spare the stuff taken off this car which is only really the ebay coilovers and all of the auto gubbins, sorry.

 No real progress since the weekend as we're both busy during the week (sort of, I'm kinda on holiday but still haven't ventured back into the garage, I am planning on cracking the gearbox bolts tomorrow though when the gf is out). We did get the manual pedal box in, it was a fiddle but we managed ok without taking the dash out, we just dropped the stearing column and removed a piece of ducting and could then easily access the newly named 'bitch bolt' at the top of the pedal box.

The only thing which needed work was the drilling of an extra hole an inch higher than the oem one on the pedal box near the accelerator pedal which didn't quite line up to the bolt on the bulkhead. We are just missing an accelerator cale as the auto one has a different fitting to the manual one

If Jon is free this weekend we should get the auto box drained and out, and parts permitting could even have the new box on and all linked up 8)

Ha ha, well, I've rufurbished the whiteline arb for the crx and have lots of stuff to go on it (need some arps tho, nightmare grrr)..... also sourced all missing parts now for the civic.... in fact Jon is down right now to work on it tomorrow.... but I've roped him into helping me move lots of furniture instead so may be next week before a proper update!!! It will be done though.

Anyway, I see you are looking for heater controls, I take it you've sorted your leaky roof then (ho ho ho)

It has been a while since we have been able to do anything on the civic, but we had friday and saturday on it and managed to get a fair bit done. Got the pedal box bolted in and the clutch and accelerator cables installed, but we need to modify the accelerator cable as it is too long, got all the dash bolted back together as well.

Then on saturday we removed the driveshafts and got the auto box out, what a pain it was to split it from the engine! Should save quite a bit of weight when the manual box is on though. Got the flywheel bolted on along with the clutch but i think we are going to fit a new one as i dont want to remove the box again if it doesnt work. Going to fit new ball joints and cv boots while we are at it, and we also have a new auto radiator that we need to get a few of the feeds welded up.

So hopefully it will only take 1 or2 more weekends and it will be running again, i will get some pics up later.
