Still waiting on the 2.5" stainless tube. Doesn't look like it's going to be here in time. Will just see about throwing the rad back on again then and taking it out for a spin again. Can't fit the SC without the eggsauce fannimold. Can't fit that without the stainless tube.
Bummer :(

So likely a shuttle weekend !

Might be.
I've got a 3" system, but think it might just be too big. Plus might want to keep it for the shuttle...

Just for you Mark:

We went form a trip to Bury this morning - walk around the market and a va to the scrap yards.
Brought back a few different idler uplley setups from various marques, and settled on a Nissan Primera FTW!

Got busy with the grinder and welder, and have fabbed up a replacement ildler for the OEM Honda part experiement which just wasn't bearing any fruit.

The business end :)

So now....
Chop off the extra steels. Paint it all.
Add some spacers to the right side of the SC to straighten it (pics show alignment is slightly out).
Then bolt it up, wire the electromagnet, and let rip !

Next video, in the car...

My LED sidelights arrived:

But with the HID's on (pass side disconnected), it's not so good:

So need to buy the "big boys" off ebay (10 SMD led's per side) and then they should match up a lot better.

Not much doing this weekend sedan specific. Mostly been on the shuttle and the passat.

Had a task to remove & check my turbo as it's been making funny noises. Turns out it's fine but VW's aint as nice as Honda's to work on.
The EGR valve was also blocked, so have ditched it and made a couple of blanking plates to go over the inlet/outlet holes.
Didn't get a chance to smash the CAT innards, but next time.
Did clean out a whole load of sooty shite from the intake manifold and head entry. About a 20% blockage. Seems to be a notiable increase in acceleration. But bigger turbo is on the list for that now too as it'll be much easier to take off next time.

Did renew the insurance, now including coverage for the supercharger!
Got tax to fork out for this week :(

Will strip off the bits from the test engine this week tidy the metal work and then give everything a nice coat of black paint ready for fitting.

No more tree hugging:

Oh here are some pics of the front cross member before it was modded so that it's actually straight and doesn't feck up the handling a lot.
