At least it gets you on the road. I've seen the raised bonnets before as I've looked into it when I was considering a supercharged K20 in mine. I'll be interested to see how it looks when you fit it.

Yes, it will... it was designed for K swaps.

Hi, I have an usual issue with my gearbox....so decided to fix it and upgrade to a hydro... Thing is that i have Y1(cable) with OBX LSD... few questions:

1. Will my OBX LSD fit in hydro boxes?
2. Drive shafts as I understand will fit to, yes?
3. Which one should I choose Y21/Y80/S80/S4C? 4.4 fd or 4.7 fd (car will be used for drag)?
4. Will Y21/Y80/S80/S4C mounts fit or I need some modifications?
5. What about cable to hydro conversion? is the innovative the way forward or there is better ways?

LSD will not fit.

Drive shafts will fit, if your inner cv joint is the original one for car you will have to use the cable driveshaft seals in the hydro box.

For a h22 I would definitely go with s9b, anything will be too short if you like to drive the car on the roads.

Ideally you need a gearbox adaptor plate, daz made me one for about £80 I think, I might still have it I think. With this plate your original y1 cable mount should bolt right to it if that's what you're using, if you're using some swap mounts then I'm not sure.

I used a cable to hydro adaptor which worked very well but the part you posted is the proper way to go hydro I think which means you use a master cylinder and slave cylinder, the proper way to go hydro a bit more work.

With mods it will. Similar to how you can put a hydro LSD into a cable box, but it's just not worth it. Sell it and replace it.

I'm partially to blame for that but now under the impression that it doesn't work. Daz posted something about it on CRX-UK not working.

Totally agree and since it comes with a torsen diff you might find it acceptable.

I would say either use a cable conversion on the box or go full hydro. Don't use that. It's a PITA the find somewhere to stash it and it's like the half arsed way to fix the issue.

Very nice

Bonnet doesn't look as nice as stock, but its not bad and well worth the compromise for the engine. I can't help thinking it would look loads better without the bonnet spacers/risers though.

How does it drive? that's what is important.
