Seems very quite on here compared to what it use to be :( and that is a shame as I used to love coming on here and having a bit of man banter  I am on ek9.org and they recently got a new system/layout and it's pretty good and you can upload pics from the forum without having to copy and paste a URL from another page. What about getting the same system? Everyone could chip in a few quid? and get this forum back again.
I was going to put my build thread of my ek4 up just to give use guys something to read if you fancied it but putting pics up is a pain that's only reason I haven't it up
I'd be more than happy to donate an do my part

IMO the content on the forum makes the forum.

Seperates the men from the boys, those who wanna learn generally stick around and search, those who wanna be spoon fed ask a few always asked questions and F*ck off.

However i do agree, the forums been ever so quiet the last year.

The content is spot on don't get me wrong! And the info is second to none! Just a new lift in colour and layout maybe?

The problem is...4GUK is hosted for FREE by one of craigs friends. its hosted off his personal server at his home. So access really isnt that easy as he wont allow Joe Blogs to access his personal server to make the updates.

Im all for Updating the Forum - But it just isnt that easy.

Would Craig not be up for updating the page and get new features and layout etc?

Craig, although still alive, is very busy with life at the moment. Ultimately its accessing the server in which the Forum is hosted on. We could migrate it to somewhere its easily accessible, But then that costs money.

I'd be happy to donate a few quid as am sure most others will aswel if it helps update the forum and make it easyer to upload pics.
Will we start a list I people that will donate and see if there will be enough?

Im more than happy to donate to the forum and have done previously. I think that you guys are right the forum does need a bit of a refresh. The problem we get though is that currently the forum is free to use.

However if we move it it may start costing then we become like SXoc etc, have to charge members to join. So it does get a bit complicated.

Benefits would be improved forum appearance the cost does help to weed out the little boys with big ideas and no knowledge. Also if the forum had some funding behind it it could go into the meets we have, or of course we could try and arrange a couple more something I feel as a forum we do lack.
