Re: 217bhp

Looks very quick Pete (on the rare occasions you didn't have someone holding you up :) )

20kg's off the wheels would make a big difference I reckon. It's not just the weight reduction, it's the handling benefits as well.

Re: 217bhp

Yep - had a blast at Anglesey (car was ready at 4.30pm Thursday, set off for Anglesey at 4.35..). Did around 170 miles on the track. Must be a great circuit to race on, lots of overtaking opportunities.. :) on Saturday we drove back via the EVO triangle roads up in the hills - car was really good on...

Re: Quaife Gearbox = Awesome

looks similar gearing at the top end to my S80 with the Y21 4th & 5th :) How well does it get off the line with such a long first gear? Blyton is quite a fun track - more interesting than it looks at first glance, with a good variety of corners. Definitely need an LSD there - it was wet the day ...

Re: Black 1991 ED7.

Have a refurb panned, but i have a feeling they are mag wheels so could be a complicated job. However, they are only seeing track use so not too bothered atm. Never really thought about the rear lip, maybe if one pops up i'll try it. Save your money & spend it on tyres, trackdays, fuel.. all mu...

Re: DC2 brake conversion on EE9, which brake discs ??

I use Mintex 1155 on 262mm plain discs - no idea what make, they were on the car when I got it, and are still OK. I have been through several sets of 1155's though (Camskill are cheapest for Mintex pads) AP brake fluid No extra cooling No fade, works well. I'd be tempted to buy discs off camskill or...

Re: DC2 brake conversion on EE9, which brake discs ??

In my experience, just stick with pretty standard discs. Don't go with drilled, and I wouldn't recommend EBC...(have seen plain EBC discs crack right through) I'd go with Honda or reputable OEM (Although TBH I used some motor factor Nipparts discs on a track DC2 and they were fine) Discs are consuma...

Re: Gaz Coilover setting

Hi Barry There might be a thread somewhere - but, in short It was originally a Honda works car, run by Asquith motorsport. Group N rallying and circuit racing (in Willhire 24hrs). then went to Grant elliott who won roadsaloons in 1995 (I think), and subsequently Simon Turner, who also won roadsaloon...

Re: Gaz Coilover setting

I know what you mean, I thought so too. But it seems to work. Maybe its because the effective spring rate calcs are different for double wishbone suspension? I don't think Pete Dixon has ever had the springs tested in his car, but he seems to think they are similar to mine. He also has a double thic...
